Will it fit my dog's paws?
Tidy Paws is designed to suit small, medium and large breeds. To check, measure across the widest part of your dog's paw with the toes relaxed, then compare it against the size guide in the product images. If your dog is borderline, message us before you order — we'd much rather point you to the right fit than process a return.
Will it scare my dog?
Most dogs settle within two or three uses. The motor is deliberately low-noise and the bristles are soft silicone rather than stiff plastic, so there's nothing sharp or startling about it.
Our advice for nervous dogs: leave it switched off at first and let them sniff it. Then try one paw with a treat. Plenty of dogs who fight the towel end up preferring this.
Does it really clean between the toes?
That's the whole point of it. Wiping with a towel only touches the pads and the top of the paw. The rotating bristles reach up between the toes and around the nails, which is exactly where mud, grit, road salt and grass seeds collect — and where dogs lick afterwards.
Do I need to use soap?
For everyday walks, warm water on its own does the job. After heavy mud or winter road salt, add a small amount of dog-safe shampoo. Avoid household detergents — they're harsh on paw pads.
How do I clean the cleaner?
Tip out the water, lift out the brush insert and rinse it under the tap. Let both parts air-dry before you put it back together.
One thing to note: don't submerge the motor base or put it in the dishwasher.
